busybox-syslogd software package provides Provides syslogd and klogd using busybox, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install busybox-syslogd
busybox-syslogd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the busybox-syslogd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep busybox-syslogd *
You will get with busybox-syslogd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
